When do I need to book a cake designer?
Most cakes are booked 3-9 months in advance. September and October should be booked 9-12 months in advance. Always call for last minute availability, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your request.
Is their a minimum size or cost?
There is a minimum cost of $300.
Do you deliver?
We deliver within a 2 hour drive of Brooklyn, NY. Pickups and special circumstances can be discussed.
Delivery charges are based on your event location. Delivery starts at $65 per cake.
How much will it cost?
Cakes range in price from $9 to $18 per serving depending on the amount of sugar flowers and surface decoration.
The average serving size is four xfingers wide by 2 fingers deep and 4.5” tall. Anniversary tiers are included at no cost.
What happens at a tasting?
We will sit down and discuss the elements (if any) that you’ve already chosen for your wedding from your dress and location
to the menu and flowers. My portfolio is available for you to look through to get some ideas of the style and design you
would like to pursue.
We’ll then have the tasting portion of the meeting where you will try a variety of different cakes and fillings (if you have a special request please let us know before hand). After our tasting a proposal with all of the information regarding your cake and a sketch will be emailed to you for review. Upon approval a 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding and is based on your final number of guests. You are welcome to bring a guest with you to the tasting. Please notify us in advance the number in your party so we can be sure to have tastings ready for everyone.
I haven’t met with my florist or chosen my dress, can we still meet?
Of course we can, we’ll go through my portfolio of cakes and any tear-sheets you’ve brought with you to design your custom cake.
How can I set up a tasting?
Call or write us to schedule a tasting. Tasting appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday in the afternoon or evening. Unfortunately weekends are not available to schedule tastings as we are focusing on the cakes that are due that weekend.
There is no fee for a tasting, however if you need to cancel within 3 hours of your appointment you will be asked to pay a $20 fee.
